Why Rankings Matter
Business rankings make it easier for customers to quickly identify trusted businesses while giving business owners a clear path to improving their visibility. By displaying rankings on every Z1BIZ profile, we aim to:
- Reward businesses that consistently deliver great service
- Provide customers with a reliable quality signal
- Encourage businesses to stay engaged and improve their profile
Our Algorithm (Without Giving Too Much Away)
Our ranking algorithm is confidential — we don’t share every factor that goes into determining a business’s level. However, we can tell you that customer reviews play a big role.
That means the single best thing you can do to boost your ranking is to encourage happy customers to leave reviews on your Z1BIZ profile. Reviews can be submitted right at the bottom of your business page, and each one counts toward your standing.
The Six Ranking Levels
When rankings go live, every business will display one of six levels — from best to worst:
Platinum – The top tier, reserved for businesses that demonstrate excellence in service, reliability, and customer satisfaction.
Gold – Excellent standing, with strong performance indicators and consistently positive reviews.
Silver – A strong showing that indicates solid performance and good customer experience.
Z1 Approved Business – This is the standard level. Every business begins here and can move up (or down) based on activity and feedback.
Bronze – Indicates a need for improvement. Businesses with mixed or fewer positive signals may appear here.
Bad Business – The lowest tier, applied to businesses with consistently poor feedback or repeated negative activity.
How to Improve Your Rank
Moving up the ranks isn’t complicated — it just takes consistent effort. Here are a few ways to improve your standing:
- Ask for Reviews: After completing a job or service, kindly ask your customer to leave a review on your Z1BIZ page.
- Update Your Profile: Keep your hours, photos, and description current. A complete profile shows that you’re active and professional.
- Respond to Feedback: Address negative reviews with professionalism. Resolving issues shows customers (and our system) that you care.
The Bottom Line
These rankings aren’t just about badges — they’re about helping great businesses shine and giving customers confidence in who they hire. By staying active, gathering reviews, and delivering excellent service, you can climb the ranks and earn the recognition you deserve.
Note – you do not have to claim a business on Z1BIZ to achieve a higher rank.
